Normalerweise sind Zugverfolgungen in China nicht besonders sinnvoll. Normalerweise. Denn am Jingpeng Pass kann man mit dem richtigen Taxi-/Busfahrer, der richtigen Mannschaft (siehe unten) und vorher gut geplanten Fotostandpunkten aus einem einzigen Zug eine wahre Filmvernichtungsorgie machen. Wenn dann das Wetter noch so mitspielt, wie im Januar 2003, dann können mit einem einzigen Zug viele beeindruckende Bilder entstehen.

Die Aufnahmen entstanden auf der FarRail Tours Reise "Winterspektakel" im Januar 2003.

Usually, train chasing in China makes not much sense. Usually. If you have a good taxi-/busdriver, if the guys of your crew can move their bags and if you have a plan, which places you like to go to, at the Jingpeng pass you have a good chance to chase a train successfully. You can celebrate a real film wasting spectacle with a single train. And, if the weather conditions are superb, like they were in January 2003, you may catch many impressive pictures.

The pictures were taken on the FarRail Tours trip "Winterspectacle" in January 2003.

Vor dem Aufstieg zum Fotopunkt Simingyi-Brücke noch schnell ein Foto von der Zugkreuzung in Xiakengzi. Before we climbed up the hill for a shot of the Simingyi-viaduct we took a picture from a train crossing in Xiakangzi.
Auf halben Weg zum Simingyi-Fotostandpunkt bietet sich eine dramatische Kulisse für unseren Zug. Half way up to the "idiot hill" we got another shot with the dramatical backdrop of the Hadashan mountain range.
Geschafft: Der Blick von ganz oben vom "Idiotenhügel" auf das berühmte Simingyi-Viadukt. We got it: this is the view from the top of the "idiot hill" down to the Simingyi viaduct.
